LAMBORGHINI FEW-OFFS: WHEN A RARITY TURNS INTO A PASSION

Lamborghini’s tradition of ultra-limited “few-off” models defines its modern legacy, beginning with the Reventón in 2007 and continuing through the Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, Sián, and Countach LPI 800-4. Produced in extremely limited numbers, often as both coupé and roadster, each model introduced bold design and innovative technology that previewed future Lamborghini evolution. Collector Albert Spiess, a Reventón owner since 2007, holds one of the world’s most significant Lamborghini few-off collections.

Albert Spiess speaks for the first time about his passion for Lamborghini, tracing it back to his pursuit of automotive perfection and a deep personal connection to the brand. His journey began with the purchase of a 1979 Countach LP400 S, followed by a life-changing decision to focus less on work and more on building a world-class Lamborghini collection, adding icons such as the Miura SV and Silhouette. Drawn to rarity, history, and technical excellence, Spiess found the few-off concept perfectly aligned with his vision, ultimately acquiring at least one example of every Lamborghini few-off model produced.

Each car, Spiess explains, entered his collection for a specific reason: the Reventón Roadster for its influential design, the Sesto Elemento for its extreme lightness and carbon-fiber technology, the Veneno Roadster for its futuristic form, the Centenario for its exclusivity, the Sián Roadster as Lamborghini’s first hybrid, and the Countach LPI 800-4 as a tribute to the original 1971 prototype he helped restore. Ultimately, his decision to acquire a few-off Lamborghini is driven by emotion, as he says each one makes him feel the same excitement he experienced when buying his very first Countach
